On December 13th, the inaugural meeting of the Fire Protection and Security Committee of the China Railway Society, along with the 2025 Annual Academic Exchange Meeting on Railway Fire Protection and Security, was held in Beijing. Over 100 expert representatives from nearly 40 relevant units, including the China Railway Group, various railway bureaus, universities, research institutes, and Jiaotong University Railway Development, gathered together. Wang Pengxiang, the chairman of the company, and Yu Laibo, the deputy general manager, attended the meeting. During the meeting, the committee completed the relevant election work in accordance with the procedures, and Yu Laibo, the deputy general manager of the company, was elected as the deputy secretary-general of the Fire Protection and Security Committee of the China Railway Society.
